Meet Simon the miracle dog!
Now a year old, this lab-mix pup was hit by a car when he was around 6 months old. The accident left his spine fractured, but brought him to his foster mama, who worked at the emergency vet hospital. She brought Simon home when he was unable to move his back legs – for a month, she helped him get around. Through the help of physical therapy and over the course of many months, Simon regained the use of his legs and can now walk again, and even RUN!
Simon will always be a dog with special needs, though, so he’ll need an adopter who, for example, will work with his potty schedule. He is house-trained as long as he isn’t asked to hold it too long, given his still slightly-weakened body.
Simon is great with kids, cats, and dogs, and is a fast learner thanks to being a smart boy who’s really food-motivated. Simon loves being with his people and will follow you around to be where you are.
