Our pet of the week this week is Parsley.
Just over a year and a half ago, Second Chance was contacted about a pack of 8 dogs who had been abandoned at a vacant home in Dunn, NC.
It took many trips out there to trap all 8, and once they did, 7 of them needed treatment for heartworms.
Among them? A pregnant mama named Mona, who gave birth to 9 puppies in her foster home.
Among THEM? Parsley! Every last doggy was adopted, including Parsley himself, but when his human parents split up recently, his mom sent him back to us.
This skinny tiny leggy pup, who is believed to be part beagle and perhaps part greyhound or whippet, really really loves being with people and is happy to let you hold him like a baby.
He gets along swimmingly with his canine foster siblings and is thrilled with walks around the neighborhood or just playing in the backyard.
Parsley is an absolute delight–learn more about him and apply to adopt at SecondChanceNC.org!
