Meet Dancer, who is a year and a half old female hound.
Dancer is a beautifully graceful girl who was pulled from a rural shelter about 6 months ago. She was terribly underweight and required a lot of TLC. Whatever life she had led, prior to coming to Second Chance, was not kind to her.
We quickly discovered that she suffered from separation anxiety, but found that medications help to manage that. She will need a home where she is not the only dog and would benefit greatly from a fenced yard.
She has lots of energy and really enjoys running laps for exercise. Most of all, Dancer will need a patient and understanding family, who is willing to invest time in her. She is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs we know.
While it seems that she comes with a lot of baggage, this young girl, in the right hands, has the potential to become your truest and most loyal friend. Please consider giving Dancer a second chance.
