Lucky you! The NC Symphony is bringing Celtic flair to the Meymandi Concert Hall in a St. Patrick’s Day weekend extravaganza!
Listen as Doug speaks with Ben Brecher, a tenor who is joining the Symphony for this special event.
Grab a drink (They’ll have a full bar plus specialty cocktails like a Irish coffee and a “Celtic margarita”) and get ready for the fancy footwork of the O’Hare Irish Dancers, furious fiddling, evocative Irish flutes, exquisite storytelling with Celtic singers including an Irish tenor, and yes, even a bagpiper!
It all comes together in some of the most familiar music from the Emerald Isle and Celtic culture—from “Molly Malone” and “Danny Boy” to music from Braveheart, Titanic, and Lord of the Dance. There’s no better place to be on St. Patrick’s Day weekend!
Tickets are on sale now (and start at just $18!) at NCSymphony.org.
Here’s another sneak peek of the show with NC Symphony Assistant Principal Second Violin, David Kilbride.
