This week we’re featuring Winona.
When kitten season hits in the spring and early summer, good Samaritans in the community find kittens everywhere—in storm drains, under houses, and, it turns out, on pine straw delivery trucks. That’s where baby Winona and her brothers and sisters were found without a mama.
They were delivered to Second Chance in a cardboard box and, being just 2 weeks old, had to be bottle-fed by dedicated volunteers and their foster mama.
Since Winona has only ever known the humans in her world to be kind and caring, she’s obsessed with people now at 5 months old.
This petite black cat is the last one left of her litter, but she’s got other foster siblings—including a small dog—and she adores them, so we’re hoping she’ll be adopted by someone whose pet (or kid!) needs a playmate, because she’s definitely got energy in spades.
