This week we’re featuring Ace!
Good news: Last week’s kitty, Shavonne, has an applicant coming to meet her tomorrow! We are hoping she’ll be home soon!
Ace was surrendered by his owner to a local county shelter, and as far as first-time vacations away from home go, the shelter was not Ace’s favorite place to be. The new smells and sounds, as well as the tight space, were too much for him, and he went from happy-go-lucky to anxious and unpredictable. Though he’s young at 3 years old, German shepherds that weigh over 100 pounds like Ace are not the kinds of dogs who have the luxury of being moody in an overcrowded county shelter, so he was about to be euthanized when we pulled him. He was even a little iffy with his foster mom at first, but now, she’s one of his favorite people, and he’s learned that he can make LOTS of new friends! Ace is so smart and so affectionate and so ready to become someone’s loyal pet. Are you that someone? If you think you might be, learn more about Ace and apply to adopt at www.SecondChanceNC.org
. We’ll put you in touch with Ace’s foster mama so you can learn all about him and schedule a safe, socially-distant, one-on-one meeting with this big boy!
